What Is Solpadeine?
Solpadeine is a pain killer that is produced by Glaxo Smithkline. It is marketed as Solpadeine in UK and Ireland and as Panadeine in Australia.
Solpadeine products can contain Paracetamol, Codeine, Ibuprofen and Caffeine.
It is available in several formulations including "Headache", "Plus", "Max" and "Migraine". The most popular form is a fizzy effervescent tablet that is dissolved in a glass of water.
One tablet contains
- 500mg Paracetamol (acetaminophen)
- 30mg Caffeine
The "Plus" and "Max formulations" also contain
- 12.8mg Codeine (co-codamol)
"Migrane" formulations also contain
- 200 mg Ibuprofen
Each tablet also contains 824mg of sodium.
